Thank you for choosing us to provide your dental care. We want to work with you in arranging for payment of your services. In that effort, we have provided several options, one of which should fit your need.

What to Expect

NEW PATIENTS


New patients are asked to pay the portion that your insurance will not pay to us on the day of the appointment. If you have insurance, we will enter that information in your record and file your claim at no extra charge. Some insurance companies send payments to us and some to the patient. If the insurance payment is sent to us, we will reimburse you as soon as we receive payment or apply it to your account for future visits as you instruct.

After your initial exam, your free dental consultation includes a plan for spreading your appointments out, if your good dental care makes it feasible, to accommodate your budget and take maximum advantage of any dental insurance you may have.


INSURANCE


We are committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary greatly, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. Your estimated patient portion must be paid at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance. As a service to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for services and allow them 45 days to render payment. After 60 days, you are responsible for the entire balance, paid-in-full, unless you have made other financial arrangements with us. If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them. We are in a network with Tricare and CHIPS, but we also accept all major insurance providers.


NO INSURANCE?


Regular patients without insurance must pay in full or make acceptable arrangements for services at the time of the service. Starkville Smiles offers discounts for patients paying with cash or check.

HOW TO PAY

Cash or personal check (5% bookkeeper’s allowance is given to patients without dental insurance when the treatment is greater than $300 (on one patient), the patient’s balance is $0 and the treatment is paid for at the appointment time with cash or check (not credit card)).

MasterCard, VISA or Discover credit cards

CareCredit – no-interest payment plans – pre-approved before service is rendered (application at the check-out desk)

Three months, when treatment is more than $300 – to be paid ¼ on the day of treatment by cash or check and three post-dated checks, one month apart, for the remaining three payments – must be pre-arranged.

Please let us know which option is comfortable for you so we both will know your plans and can note that in your record. Please ask at the front desk for any fee information you need at any time, and please stop there after each appointment to handle your bill.
